This book was a gritty thriller with several twists that I did not see coming. The main character, Eli, has been locked into a compound to protect them from a nuclear attack. Over the course of six years, questions lead Eli to question his father’s sanity as well as the truth that could set them free. A 2010-2011 Black Eyed Susan nominee.

I read this a few weeks ago, and I thought it was OK. The ending was confusing. Not to be a spoilier, but the end made me wonder why they made this book at all.
