Ebb Valley End of the School Year Update

Dear Ebb Valley Families,

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their kindness and support over the last 8 years as principal of Ebb Valley. There are many changes in store, but I am confident that our community will embrace our new leadership team and continue to build upon the caring and supportive school environment we have created. As many of you already know, Mr. Justin Watts, former teacher at Ebb Valley is returning as principal. Mrs. Erin Sikorski is joining him as assistant principal. We also have other staffing changes:

  • Lisa Burnham – is going to be our full-time Learning Support Room person
  • Christine Burgoon – is joining us from Charles Carroll in 4th Grade
  • Shelley Frock – is joining us from Charles Carroll in 1st Grade
  •  Cindy Freed – is joining us from Charles Carroll in Kindergarten
  •  Mike Skopp –  is joining us from Robert Moton -1 day per week Instrumental (Thursday) and 1 day Vocal Music (Tuesday)
  •  Jessica Haugh – is joining us as an Art teacher one day per week (Tuesday)
  • Stephanie O’Neal – is joining us as a Health teacher one day per week (Tuesday)
  • Jamie Rooney is joining us as a Media Specialist day per week (Wednesday)

We will also be hiring a half time secretary for the main office to help out Margie and Lisa. In closing, I would like to thank everyone for their kind thoughts and wishes for a happy retirement. The quote below sums up my feeling on my career in education.

“Find something you love to do and you’ll never have to work a day in your life”

 Harvey MacKay

 All the best,

Bob Mitchell

  1. With having specials teachers only one day a week, will we be going back to M-F specials instead of the rotating letter day schedule?

Thank you for everything you have done for Alexander and all of the Ebb students and families! Best wishes to you on your retirement! You will be missed!
