This book was not what I expected, but I liked it. Lupita is a teenager working towards her acting career, struggling with her mom’s battle with cancer, and trying to deal with the regular troubles of everyday life. I was really surprised at the deeper messages embedded in the book, and I thought that almost every phrase had a lesson or development in Lupita’s character. Personally, I thought that this was a good book. A good read in the form of poetry, you should definitely check it out.
