Students will see a few changes to the TV studio when you return to school in August. One is the Green walls.
Why are the walls green you ask? That’s easy. We have the ability to do Chromakey— which means the computer replaces the green background with any computer image— so we can make our on-air guests float through the air… or stand next to a huge cell for instance. Some 8th grade science students have already played with this technology and it is great fun.
In addition to the Chroma-Key we have also had students this year use the equipment in the studio along with the video mixer to transform classroom skits into great video presentations. The project “Science Musical” was a great hit.
The next scheduled TV show is Spotlight on Character Friday morning May 22, 2009.
