I love the snow! I am reading a great book called Tater Hill. I am 3/4 of the way through it and I am wondering what will happen with the main character and the woman who lives up the hill who is out of jail on murder charges. Some friends of Annie the main character snuck out at night and wrote graffitti on her house-- but she is really a nice woman. I think y'all should read it.

Homework is great, especially when there is not a ton of it. When I have pages and pages of homework, I don't really concentrate on the actual information. I'm more worried about getting it done fast, which can result in cheating or using a calculator. When you have shorter homework assignments, you pay attention more because your not worried about being late for soccer or what ever. I also think (now that it's spring and all) that teachers should discuss with each other when to start projects. I have projects in five classes (including Spanish). That's quite a bit to do. Because they were all given around the same day, they are also due around the same day too. When this happens, students might work harder on one project because they need a better grade in that class, then totally neglect the others.

Okay, I really like this blog idea and am going to try to be as un-biased as possible. I know that for a lot of kids, homework almost as a negative effect on them. Their is just so much work that needs to be done, it fries your brain! I do think that if you were to concentrate all day during class, go home, concentrate for another hour, do a sport or something, and then read before you go to bed(which, I love reading so...I do that);then yes, you would be more sucessful than if you had no homework. But lets face it: only a small minority of students can concentrate for this long and still have a postive effect. Personally, I think homework would be more productive if all homework was longterm projects. I would work a lot on the weekends and practice time management.
P.S Studies have shown that students recieve higher test scores on a 5 weeks(7 days) 2 weeks off. I think that would be nice for planning vacations. Also, America is the only country that goes to school for less than 200 days.

Hi! I also enjoy Harry Potter and the Twilight series, though I admit, I would not read Twilight unless I was at least 7th grade to get the full "experience". You sound really down to earth and I am looking forward to seeing your Blogs!
P.S
whats your blog name?
